The New DC Logo
The new 52 is not the only thing DC Comics is launching, but a new brand identity logo. For those of you who are sadly unfamiliar with the old logo, here it is compared with the new…
No longer is it the swooshing shooting star around the bold DC. Instead, it’s a more subtle ‘page peeling’ D to reveal the C. Here are a few creative applications of the logo:

12 Days of Nerd Christmas
After years of singing the traditional 12 Days of Christmas song, I realized, it was time for an updated nerd version. Besides, I do not want, nor even know what a ‘Colly Bird’ is anyways. This is my gift to all the friends and followers of Crazy4ComicCon. Thanks for all the visits, comments, and support during 2011. Happy holidays and I’m looking forward to a new geeky year with you!
On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true nerd brought to me…
Twelve Star Trek Sequels
Eleven Doctors Dazzling
Ten Sith lords leaping
Nine replicants running
Eight Window systems
Seven zombies crawling
Six Jedi Jumping
Five Power Rings
Four Angry Birds
Three bloggers blogging
Two Ninja Turtles
And a Kryptonian born to set the world free.
WonderCon Registration Opens!
The WonderCon 2012 registration is now open! This will be the first year that it is hosted in Anaheim so it will be interesting to see how the OC/LA/SD comic book community responds to this opportunity. I went to WonderCon for the first time last year when it was held in it’s traditional location of San Fran. It had to move just for this year because of the renovation schedule at the Moscone Center. I loved it! It’s the only convention that I have visited that felt like Comic Con without all the crazy crowds and chaos. It was still packed with fans but it was manageable. If you are a fan of SDCC or always wanted to try a con for the first time, try WonderCon. In this new location, no one knows how busy it will be so get your tickets early to be safe. See you in Anaheim! Read my full review from last year’s WonderCon.
