Attention heroes!
My Hero Academia season 5 is finally here! The first episode (Sub) of the new season premiered on Funimation March 27th. On Saturday, April 10th, episode 1 of the Dub will premiere with new episodes airing every Saturday.
I watched the first two episodes of the season back to back and wow, I have missed this show! I was smiling the entire time through the first episode. The first episode of the season has a lot of where did we leave off with characters, and what happened after those moments. Also, our class is back in action and we see their power/name highlights as each one is introduced. I appreciated the refreshers – they are welcome reminders without being redundant.
The intro theme song has some curious moments that maybe hint at the season’s rivalries, maybe some more with class 1-B, and maybe more about One For All?
I spoke with Justin Briner (the voice of Deku) and Clifford Chapin (the voice of Bakugo) about how it feels to be back, the challenges of recording from home, what quirk they would choose and more!
Here is the interview:
