This morning at 9:00am PST began the stress filled time of gazing at the dreaded spinning blue circle of death. Seems as though this years sale took just a little bit longer than last years to completely sale out. Last years’ sale took about 54 min to sale out, this years’ sold out at 10am PST per the yellow announcement bar. Which was 6 minutes longer but that could be because it took them longer to also start placing people also so that may have played a factor into the total time of sale.
The first day to sale out was Saturday, then quickly followed by an announcement about Friday sailing out . Then we started getting the running low messages about Thursday and Sunday. After a final getting low message for Sunday, the inevitable sad truth for some that Returning Registration was over!
But, if you were one of the unlucky ones or if you were not able to get all the days that you want fear not my nerdy friends you will still have one more chance during Open Registration (date TBD). There is one downfall to open registration, is that everyone with a Comic-con account is eligible to participate.
Don’t worry though if you can get into or start a buying group it betters your chances of getting something. The more people you have the better as each person can buy for 3 people. But, you don’t want to have too many people want to able to keep it manageable. I recommend between 10 – 15 people.
Were you one of the lucky ones to get thru the evil spinning blue dots or were you part of group that got in , if so how many people in your group got badges and was everyone able to get the badges they wanted or will you have to come back for Open registration?
Let me know in the comments below on how you personally or your team did.
