With Game of Thrones coming to a close with its final two seasons five of it top stars have reportedly signed new contracts.
Its being reported by Watchers on the Wall that the actors have signed for a reported $2.5 million per episode. This is the by far the largest payday for any actor(s) on a series ever, if true it more than doubles what the cast of The Big Bang Theory received during their recent contract negotiation.
The cast members to receive these nice new contracts are Kit Harington ( John Snow ), Emilia Clarke ( Daenerys Targaryen ), and The Lannister’s Peter Dinklage ( Tyrion ), Lena Headey (Queen Cersei ), Nikolaj Coster- Waldau ( Jamie ). Along with their very hefty paychecks its seems that they are also getting a very lucrative deal which is a percentage of syndication money from broadcasts of more than 170+ countries worldwide.
What does this mean for the rest of the remaining cast for the final two seasons? Does this give us a clue to the end of GoT? I think at least if anything we can say with this news we can say that some of our favorite characters love them or hate them will be back for Season 8…. Maybe?
