My Chicago Comic Con Panels

Chicago

I’m pumped to be returning to one of my favorite shows and favorite cities- Chicago Comic Con! It’s a four day show which means it will be packed with all kinds of nerdy goodness. This will be a special show since it will be the official debut of my clothing collection, Hero Within! Along with my comrade Marlon, we’ll be at booth #925 introducing our pieces to the locals of Chicago. If you are at the show come visit us. I am very grateful for Wizard World for hosting us and hoping for a great response from the Illinois nerds.

Besides the booth, I’ll be hosting or participating in a number of fantastic panels- check out my schedule below:

WHERE ARE THE ASIAN-AMERICAN MOVIE STARS?: WHITE WASHING IN GEEK CULTURE (ROOM 1) 1:30-2:15PM
In the last few months, Hollywood’s longstanding practice of whitewashing Asian characters has made headlines with casting decisions in Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, and Ghost in the Shell, where characters who were originally Asian in comics and anime were replaced with white actors for movie adaptations. Soon after, performers like Margaret Cho set Twitter aflame with the hashtag #whitewashedOUT, detailing their experiences being erased by mass media and calling for change.

One of the highest anticipated films of the summer has arrived- but did it exceed expectations or implode the future of DC films?
