My first time was 2004, back in the days when you didn’t have to plan your Comic-Con trip years in advance. In fact, I arrived at day 2, because I wanted to see Sarah Michelle Gellar and Joss Whedon there. As you can see, the pictures aren’t as good as the ones I make now for major cons, but they’re not bad.
I also attended the panels for Tru Calling with Eliza Dushku and Bones with David Boreanaz (his first for that show). Seeing the Firefly cast all excited for their movie Serenity brought back memories for me. Who would have suspected we’d have to wait another year to see it?
My picture was part of an effort to earn points for the Serenity website in order to earn swag, like a t-shirt.
For the record, I never got that t-shirt.
It was quite an experience, which I recounted on my “Impaler General’s Home Page” website before I switched to blogs. It’s a shame I have to miss it this year due to not having a job. Still, I have memories, and they were good ones.
